On Earth Day this year, employees from Volition Games took part in Boneyard Creek Community Day, in which volunteers from local companies, schools, organizations, agencies, and families get together to pick up trash and litter around the creek. The 3.3-mile waterway runs through the cities of Champaign and Urbana and plays an important role in the drainage and ecosystem of the surrounding area.

We were excited to join forces with other volunteers to remove trash and debris from the creek. The day was spent wading through the water and scouring the banks for discarded items such as plastic bottles, food containers, and even some unexpected items such as a DVD player and a bicycle seat.

The event was not only an opportunity for employees to give back to their community but also a chance to show our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. We are conscious of our impact on the planet as a video game studio and have been actively working to reduce our carbon footprint. We believe that small actions, like recycling and reducing energy consumption, can add up to make a big difference. However, on this day, we wanted to take our commitment to sustainability a step further.

Overall, this event was a great success, with the volunteers filling up numerous bags with litter and leaving the creek in much better condition than before. We believe that everyone has a role to play in protecting our planet for future generations. We are proud to have been a part of Boneyard Creek Community Day and look forward to continuing our efforts to promote environmental conservation in our community and beyond.
